I finally started playing Just Dance 2 in the Just Sweat section. As I saw my sweat points rack up, I really got to wondering if they meant anything at all. There is no explanation of what a sweat point is equivalent to. All I knew is that my goal was to get 1000 sweat points. But what did I get out of earning those points?
I did a little research. I found this post at Yahoo Answers that explains sweat points as this:
Now, I have no idea how accurate this information is. And thinking about it, I am feeling a little doubtful. In order to get 1000 sweat points, I need to do between three and four dances. That takes about 15 minutes. Can I really burn over 200 calories just by dancing for 15 minutes? I have not used any other Wii fitness games that has this kind of calorie burn in such a short period of time.4.2 sweat points = 1 calorie burned
Mild Program - 300 points per day is about 72 calories
Tough Program - 1000 points per day is about 238 calories
Intense Program - 2000 points per day is about 476 calories
And 3500 calories burned is about 1 pound of fat lost.
Whether or not I am burning that number of calories, the sweat points give me something to work towards. The dance part is fun, and watching my numbers on the graph move up is motivating. So get dancing, and Just Sweat!

I do Just Dance 3 and I personally think it depends on what type of song you pick and how accurately you follow the dance. I just did a hand full of songs all at either a 2 or 3 sweat drop (haha) and danced for about 40 minutes and got 2000 sweaty points. The more "perfects" you get, surely the more points you get. If a person isn't following through with a particular move, then the same amount of calories wouldn't be burned. "Jump On it" is a pretty intense dance and although the time would be the same as say, "The Mermaid Dance", they most definitely do not burn the same amount of calories. After 40 minutes, I was literally sweating my ass off but I really get into it. I'm trying to find a legit chart by Nintendo, surely it exists???
