The latest product to be introduced to Wii fitness fans is the Cyberbike. Are you wondering what the Cyberbike is? There it is to the right. It's a stationary bike. But... it connects to your Wii. It has attached Gamecube controls to allow you to play both Gamecube and Wii games. It comes with a game that allows you to pedal through various locations in three different game modes. The bike has adjustable handles and seat. The pedals have an optical sensor to record real time pedaling. The system will have a price tag of nearly $200.
The Cyberbike has been available in Europe for about a year or so. I'm guessing it has had some success if it is now being released in the US. But to be honest, I'm not so sure about this one. I'm all for Wii fitness, but I can see myself spending the money on this. Not to mention I don't have the space for this kind of thing. I have read about and known of many people who don't even want to spend the money on the Wii Fit bundle. That isn't even $100! Will users really buy a Wii bicycle?
The Cyberbike is currently available for pre-order through Toys R Us. The pre-order price is $199 and has an estimated ship date of June 29. For more information, trailer and screen shots you can look at the Cyberbike website.
