It looks like Zumba Fitness for Wii has become so popular, that game producers are already working on a follow up. Zumba Fitness 2 is planned to be available by the end of the year, in time for the holidays.
Based on the press release issued just days ago, it looks like Zumba is in for a few changes. There will be new dance styles added to the current list including Bellydance and Latin Pop. Also listed are Pasodoble and Axe. I have no idea what those dance styles are, so I have to go look those up! There will be options to change the dance location.
The statement that is really appealing is that it indicates the user can customize the instructors' outfits. I'm taking that as if the instructors will now be an avatar rather than the silhouetted image in the current game. I have found that there are times that it is hard to recognize the instructors' moves, and this should hopefully be alleviated with an avatar.
Those who like to keep track of their stats will be happy to know that there will now be features to identify such information as calories burned as well as achievement trophies.
